Transformative Communication for Parents
Being a parent is personal, emotional, satisfying and challenging all wrapped up into one. I can help with;
anxious children, building confidence, emotional regulation and overcoming setbacks

THE PARENT PATHWAY
Taking the decision to enlist support can be a big step for parents. Please see below the clear steps we can take together to best support you and your child...
Step 1 - free consultation call
A short conversation to establish; the main challenges you are experiencing and the type of support I can provide.
Step 2 - understanding the challenges session
A session just for parents where we identify; communication patterns, triggers for behaviours, narratives and emotional habits.
Step 3 - parent coaching (normally between 1-4 sessions, this is flexible)
I can be your guide to; understanding your child's behaviour, identifying vicious cycles and establishing Transformative Communication to build emotionally Resilient children.
Step 4 - 1-to-1 sessions with your child
Practical Resilience-building work with your child, helping them to; identify and understand the power of their strengths, understand the workings and impact of their nervous system, sit with discomfort safely, overcome setbacks, understand the choices they have even in seemingly powerless situations and find their place in their environment.
PLEASE NOTE - the pathway is just a guide - steps 3 and 4 can be swapped and/or left out of the process if that works better for the process.
Parent testimonial
"We began working with Nick when our daughter, aged 8, was struggling with situations involving uncertainty.
She would worry that her usual swimming teacher would be absent and be replaced by a temporary teacher.
At school, she would worry about; drop-off, not knowing the timetable, unpredictable behaviour and from other children. Birthday parties and noisy environments were also stressful for her.
Nick helped both us and Nancy, separately, to work on building her resilience so she could better cope with these situations herself, rather than relying on external factors like school, staff and friends.
Nancy genuinely looked forward to the sessions with Nick to share and work through challenges she was experiencing, big or small.
Nancy and I found Nick's tools and strategies easy to implement, resulting in rapid and astounding progress for her.
As a result, she asked to try out for several clubs and classes and now loves acting, street dance, acro, aerial hoop and even performed on stage in a lead role to a large audience.
By reinforcing her superpowers and actively discussing the techniques she has been taught, she was able to quickly see results herself and recognise her strengths and own ability.
We cannot thank Nick enough and recommend him regularly to friends."

Parent testimonial
"My 11 year old son had the fortunate opportunity to work with Nick Dux after concerning behaviours were being presented at home and school.
My son was suffering from incredibly low self-esteem/confidence and was really struggling to process, control and work through his emotions and to voice his feelings.
Nick worked with my son and myself and my son's father for a few weeks and the difference this has made to my son's life and wellbeing was truly incredible.
Nick gave my son a voice and the tools to process and problem solve his emotions, problems and life with a new found resilience and confidence.
My son became so much calmer and could understand his feelings, he learnt he can navigate challenges independently when needed and has grown into an incredibly strong, mature and happy 15 year old capable of setting boundaries, self soothing and he has the ability to communicate his feelings/thoughts with peers and family when he needs support.
Nick worked wonders with myself, providing me with the right knowledge and tools to help my son on his journey and how I, as a parent, can help my son build his confidence and resilience through the next stages of his life.
My son, thanks to Nick, really learnt to figure out who he is as a person, understands his feelings are valid and is able to make changes and decisions right for him and his life.
I couldn't recommend Nick enough, Nick has an incredible gift and skill in helping children build the resilience they need. Myself and my son will always be eternally grateful to Nick for everything he did."
